GAMES WITH THE LOWEST HOUSE EDGE.

Here's a guide to how to reduce the casinos' house edge to the minimum. The house edge is what makes money for the casinos, and it exists because all casino games have a slight bias to the casino (the House). For example, if you were playing Roulette, you could place a bet on one number, and if that number won the next spin of the wheel, you would win at odds of 36/1, ie. bet £1, win £36. But there are actually 37 possible results from one spin, 1 to 36, and the 0. This may seem insignificant, but gives the house a 1.02% edge, which over the millions of spins in their casino, adds up to a good profit.

So which games should you play to reduce the house edge to the absolute minimum? The best way is to play certain games in certain ways.

A good example is Baccarat, where you can reduce the house edge to 1.06%. In Baccarat the Banker gets to decide whether to draw a card or not, after the Player has drawn their final card. This gives the Banker an advantage. luckily, you can place a bet that the Banker will win. So in Baccarat, alway bet on the Banker.

Blackjack should always be played using 'Basic Stategy'. It is a well known way of reducing the house edge down to virtually zero, and by following a simple chart, it's actually a very easy strategy to use. Click Here for details.

Roulette can be a good game to play if you know how to place your bets wisely. Again, it's a simple method, but not many people know about it. Called the En Prison bet, it's so good that not all online casinos allow it. Place an even odds bet, such as Black / Red, or High Number / Low Number. If you have taken the En Prison bet, and a 0 is spun, you are given a second chance. Your bet is placed 'En Prison', the wheel is spun again, and should you win on this spin, half your stake is returned.

Many people avoid playing Craps, because it appears so complicated, and it can be is you want. But if you follow a simple betting pattern, the house edge is effectivley zero.

Place a bet on the PASS LINE. Then roll the dice.

If a 7 or 11 is rolled, you win at even money.

If a 2, 3, or 12 is rolled, you lose that bet.

If 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 is rolled, that number becomes the 'Point' number.

Assuming 2, 3, or 12 has not been rolled, you then need to place another bet.  Put  a bet 3 times your Pass Line bet, just outside the Pass line area, on the side closest to you. It's not marked as anything, but it's called a 'Free Odds' bet. You are only allowed to bet 3x the value of your Pass line bet, and you want to do this to get maximum return

You now win the following -

If 6 or 8 is rolled, you win at 6/5 odds.

If 5 or 9 is rolled, you win at 3/2 odds.

If 4 or 10 is rolled, you win at 2/1 odds

If you really want to lower the house edge, play at Betfair's Zero Lounge. There is a choice of Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat and Jacks or Better, all specially designed to have no house edge, so for example, there is no 0 on the Roulette table. No other online casino offers such a deal
