RED DOG POKER Currently enjoying a huge surge in popularity, Red Dog is an easy to learn card game, unique in that it is based on the spread, or difference in value, between two cards. The rules and payouts are pretty easy to understand, and there is just one, simple strategy to help you win. The objective of the game is to get a card with a face value between that of two cards already held. It's that simple. To start the game, click 'Deal', and two cards will be dealt to you, face up. In the example above, and 8 and a Queen have been drawn. Cards have set values - 2 - 10's - face value Jack - 11 Queen - 12 King - 13 Ace - 14 So the spread in the example above is 3. A marker highlights the spread, it's important to note that the spread are the numbers between 8 and 12, (9,10, and 11). Based on these values, you need to decide if the next card to be dealt will have a value that falls between your two cards. If you think it will, you can Raise, or Double, your bet, or choose to Stand. The third card is then dealt, and the game is decided. The payout table will show you what you are paid, depending on the difference between your first two cards. 1 card spread, such as 2 and 3, you are paid 5:1 2 card spread, you are paid 4:1 3 card spread, you are paid 2:1 Between 4 and 11 card spread pays 1:1 If your first 2 cards were consecutive values (like 8 and 9,) the third card is automatically dealt. If your third card matches one of your first two cards, it's a Push, and the bet is returned. If your first two cards are of a matching value, and the third card also matches, it's an 11:1 payout. There is a very simple strategy to playing Red Dog. If the spread of the first two cards is 7 or over, then Raise your bet. Above a 7 card spread, the odds start to favour the player. Below a 7 spread, don't raise, just Call, or Stand. This is a fast moving game, enjoyed by millions of online casino players.
