ACES AND FACES VIDEO POKER

A popular Video poker variation is Aces and Faces, played at most online casinos. We recommend Totesport Casino, William Hill Casino, and English Harbour Casino, (US players welcome at English Harbour), due to the combinations of excellent graphics, wide range of games, and high payouts. Aces and Faces is very similar to Jacks or Better, except higher payouts are made for getting four Aces, or four Face cards, as shown in the payout table below. A standard 52 card deck is used, and there are no Wild Cards.

To play Aces and Faces, click your coin amount, number of coins, and ‘Deal’. The machine will then deal 5 cards, and it’s just a matter of choosing which cards to keep, and which to discard. If you choose to discard any, click on the card, and choose ‘Deal’. Cards you wish to keep should be kept using the ‘Hold’ button. The machine will then hold or discard as requested, and the new hand will be automatically checked to see if it is a winning combination.

If you have a winning hand, you can choose to Double Up your winnings. If you choose this, the machine will deal 1 card, face up, and 4 cards, face down. Pick one of the face down cards, and if it is a higher card than the face up one, your winnings are doubled. If it’s a tie, then you can play again, or have your bet returned. If it is lower, then you lose the bet.

Aces and Faces Strategy.  Don’t discard any cards in a winning hand unless you can get a Straight Flush, or Royal Flush with just one card.

If you have 3 high cards, hold them, unless you have 2 high cards of the same suit, when you can discard the third high card.

If you have no 3 cards to a flush, straight flush, straight, and no high cards, then discard all 5 cards and start again.

Aces and Faces Variations.

There are a number of variations to Aces and Faces, which involve having more than one hand of cards in play at any one time. The most common types are 3, 25 and 100 hand Aces and Faces. The rules for each hand are the same, but play is speeded up, although a lot trickier to keep track of.
